I read an uplifting story today that I thought I would share with you in these times of austerity and bleak mid-winter snows (at least here!) Namely the story of Christina Bynum and how she went from giving up her day job as a realtor in 1998 to start up her own photography business. After, get this, NEVER having taken any photography classes. She was simply passionate about photography and clearly had a calling to do it. Two years later she had sales of half a million dollars, and has continued the upward spiral ever since.
That ‘calling’, as with many events in life was prompted by a life changing occurence. She found herself stricken down with an illness, Streptococcus pneumoniae, that was life threatening; and she made a promise to herself that after she had recovered from her illness she was going to go after a life that she could really love.
For her that calling was photography, and she has clearly pursued it with vigour, attracting numerous clients and now contracting with Artworks Licensing of Florida.
